Do you offer insurance?
We offer medical, dental and vision plans to full-time employees. Every employee is hired as part-time, regardless of if you plan on working full-time or not, full-time status must be earned over your first 90 days of employment before we transition you to a full-time member. Our company pays 75% of these benefits.
I have submitted my application to an open position, but I haven’t heard back?
Our hiring managers receive many applications, so it might not be unusual for them to skip one. If you haven’t heard back within a couple weeks, shoot us a message and we’ll make sure it is reviewed asap.
What kind of discount do employees receive at the restaurants?
Employees receive 50% off of all food items purchased for themselves, which can be used at any of our brands or locations.
How would you describe the company culture here?
Our restaurants are busy, all of them, so it can be hectic at times. If you’re the type of person that thrives off of a fast pace, than you’ll love it. If you’re seeking something more laid back than we might not be a good fit for you. Aside from that fast pace, our culture is really about having fun while doing some special things. We have a TON of really great people who love to have fun. The majority of them are serious about creating special results, but also seek a strong balance between life and work.
What are the qualities HRG looks for in candidates?
The #1 quality is really simple, we look for friendliness. None of us want to work with unruly people, so we avoid it like the plague. In addition, our teams are immensely talented hospitality specialists and much of that is due to their sincere friendliness – being a friendly, positive person makes hospitality organic. The #2 quality is attention-to-detail because that one quality typically relates very well to what we’re trying to achieve as a group. We’ll look for those details in your application. For example, did the candidate punctuate, capitalize where needed or did they just fill it in as quickly as possible without putting extra effort into it?
